LaTraverse will act on behalf of plaintiffs or defendants and will not fear being in a direct adversarial position with notorious public or private companies, institutions or government bodies. Once LaTraverse understands a client’s situation and needs, LaTraverse seeks solutions that will maximize returns in terms of time and money while minimizing risk and exposure.
Experience
As specialists in civil and corporate commercial litigation, LaTraverse offers the depth of litigation experience and expertise you need to represent or advise you, either as a plaintiff or defendant, in a court proceeding, negotiation or in a dispute resolution.
LaTraverse can act as a client’s direct legal representative before the courts or in the settlement of conflicts or he can, when needed, assemble a team of lawyers and experts to support a mandate. LaTraverse can alternatively provide independent private advice or a second opinion to existing or pending cases.
Versatility
While LaTraverse thrives in the procedural and evidentiary requirements of Court proceedings, the costs of courtroom litigation are escalating and they are not always the most efficient path to success.
Therefore, LaTraverse believes that the mark of a truly independent litigator is knowing when to say no. Unless a matter of principle is involved, litigation is only pursued when there is reasonable substantiation that the returns will outweigh the risk. Otherwise, the better path may be the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”), whether mediation or arbitration. LaTraverse will not hesitate to use ADR whenever it is appropriate to reach an agreement or compromise that would not be possible by judicial litigation.
