Marjorie Duchesne

Marjorie Duchesne has been a member of the Bar of the Province of Quebec since 2006. She graduated from Université de Sherbrooke with an LL.B. in 2005 and a masters degree in Common Law and Transnational Law in 2007.

In 2005, Ms. Duchesne represented her university at the national pleading competition, The Laskin Moot. At that time she also worked as a research assistant for a professor of her faculty of law.

Ms. Duchesne began her career as a legal consultant and researcher at the head office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations located in Rome, Italy, more precisely with the Administrative Group of the Human Resources division. During that internship, she gave judicial advice to the Organization regarding employment related matters.

Back in Quebec, she occupied the position of Interim Equity Advisor of the Québec Bar, participating in various advisory committees and research projects: Women in the Profession Committee, Cultural Communities Committee, Work Group on Reasonable Accommodation.

She was a member of the law firm Blake, Cassels & Graydon, in Montreal before joining the firm.
