Pierre V. LaTraverse has been a member of the Bar of the Province of Quebec since 1985 and the Bar of the State of New York since 1991. He graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in 1980 with a Diploma in Health Sciences and from McGill University in 1983 with a B.C.L. and in 1984 with an LL.B.

Mr. LaTraverse first joined the firm of Clark, Woods in Montreal in 1982 where he completed his articling for admission to the Bar of the Province of Quebec. He was named a partner of the firm in 1990. In 1994, he continued his association with Eric Clark under the name Clark & LaTraverse following the re-positioning of the firm as a specialized litigation boutique in civil and commercial matters. Since the end of 1999, the firm has continued its affairs under the name LaTraverse.

Throughout his career, Mr. LaTraverse has practised principally in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including professional liability, construction, insurance-related litigation, banking and bankruptcy, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants, at all levels of the Quebec and Canadian courts and has dealt with lawyers, experts and advisers in multi-jurisdictional disputes, not only in Canada, but also in the United States. He is a member of the Defense Research and Trial Lawyers Association (U.S.A.) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
